I was reading this interesting article about article marketing  at http://infotechresource.com/is-article-writing-taking-over-from-seo.html and I wanted to share some thiughts with you.

The issue we are delaing with is writing articles against standard seach engine optimization, such as article directories submission,  search engine submission and things like that.

Here are some quotes frome that article I totally agree with:

So, if you want to know my frank opinion, yes, article marketing can get you way better results than basic SEO. Anyway, you need to remeber that we are now living in a neew age of the internet, and the rules of SEO are being rewritten almost evey day.

What you should understand is that article marketing is certainly better than basi old school SEO, but it is a core part of new school SEO and it needs to be a part of it to get the best results it can.

As a matter of fact, you cannot hope to become a millionaire just publishing articles. As I always say, to exploit article marketing  you need to be marketing your articles.

Don’t be happy just with having an article published on a directory.

1. Rerwrite it or spin it and submit it to 10, 50, 100 more directories.
2. Bookmark it. Submit it to the best web 2.0 sites.
3. Make it a video.
4. Make it a Press Release.

I was reading a post on Another Blogger’s Blog about internal linking and I started to think…

Just because they are the best think to set up for search engine ranking of your website. in order to make it work you need to carefully link your pages between them, and external pages you can control to internal ones as well, by choosing the anchor text you want to rank for.

This way you tell the search engines what your site is relevant to, and they will simply love it and thank you with good rankings over time.

What about a tool to help you in this process?

I mean, since we are using WordPress and since WordPress is full of plugins, what if someone had made a plugin to work internal linking strategies on autopilot?

You know what?

Somebody did.

I found out this link building plugin which looks pretty powerful.

It works in a very simple way: you set up keywords and relate them to urls and it will work on you blog creating the links to those urls in thoise keywords.

When i saw it, I was skeptical at first, because it simply looks too good to be true. But it really is.

And it becomes even better:

1) you can use it for internal as well as for external links (just choose an external url). This could be useful for linking to friends’ websites through their name, or to your external money pages, or directly to your affiliate links.

3) it has a kinda “spinning” function, meaning that you can relate multiple keywords to multiple urls by separating them with the pipe char “|”, just like in the spinning syntax.

2) it’s free from charge.

How to get free backlinks the easy way

Looking for free backlinks?

Some time ago I read about lookup services. Far from me to know everything about them, but sure I know each time you search for a website on them, they create a page about it.

Free backlinks method 1

So, if you search for your website on a site like, for instance, statbrain.com, it will generate a new page with a url with your domain in it and pointing back to your website.

This way, you get a backlink just for typing your domain in a lookup service.

Yes, these pages get indexed.

No, their link value is not the highest.

But they’re totally free and easy to create that I started to include them in my backlinking process right away… and soon I discovered that is a pain in the *** to type it down for each and every one of these websites, since the list include about 20 sites.

(which list? don’t worry about it, you’ll get it later)

free backlinks method 2 – The blog way

Next, I found out a faster way to do it, and here it is:

1. Create a txt document with the list of the services, each one of them followed by your domain url without the “http://” part, one line for each search engine.
2. Make each line an hyperlink, and choose the keywords you are targeting for the anchor text.
3. Download the list from here.
4. Post the whole jibberish thing to a blog (not your main blog, create a new wordpress or blogger blog to use expressly for this purpose; you don’t need this blog to rank, just post this thing on it).
5. Publish your post and ping it on pingomatic or pingoat or pingler (be careful, not all of them, just one will be fine).

Free backlinks method 3 – The fast way

Just yesterday, I found out this free service which posts your domains to this websites, creating automatically the pages you need and the backlinks that come with them.

You need to paste the list of your domains in a form and click a button to start the process.

The only cosntraint is that you need to keep the browser window open all along. I suggest you do this just before bedtime and let it run all night.

Anyway, as far as the time it will take you to set it up, this is the fastest way to my knowledge.

Just a pitfall: by doing it this way, you’ll lose the extra benefit given by the hyperlink of method 2.

By the way, according to the source that lead me to this website, this process can create up to 3000 new backlinks. Not bad, isn’t it?

Anyway, you can test each method and choose the one that will suite you the best.

Onlywire has made a lot of changes recently, becoming substantially better.

The improvement is due mainly to:

• the new desktop submitter.
• the newly added services.

The interface is pretty the same.

It’s a new application you need to download and install on your desktop PC. it needs to run when you perform a submission, so that it takes it and brings it through all the subscribed services.

The software works fine. It’s more manageable than the previous website usage. now, you bookmark your page and the submitter offers you in pop-ups the captcha to enter for each of the sites that require them. This means you need no longer to re-login after submission and go through each one of the captcha sites to complete the submission process.

It’s faster and the interface is more user friendly.

I was already using Friendster and identica on Ping.fm. Anyway, it’s nice to have them on this side too.

Pulling the threads

Well, maybe there’s still something to improve. I’m still experiencing some access problems, even if I double-checked my account data, I continually get an error code from some websites.

Last time I asked on a forum, someone answered me:

“Hey, dude! It’s a free service, It’s supposed to work as such!”.

I don’t understand. What does this mean? That all free services SUCK?

I don’t think so. In fact, ping.fm works like clockwork.

The only suggestion I can give you is to keep most of your account on ping.fm and bookmark on the rest through onlywire (or socialmarker, which I’m not a great fan of…)

The biggest achievement

Giovanni: But, I would like to go back to where it all began, to your initial 10 goals list, the one you wrote when you were just a kid.
Going through all you have accomplished up to now, which was the single one thing that made you feel really accomplished, the one that made you say “I made it!”?

Nik: Among all those goals the one that really made me feel this way was becoming an astronaut. That was my biggest dream as I was a kid, and it was the one that took the most time and hard work. Nik: The one I can say inspired me the most is Bob Proctor. I read all his books as a teenager and impressed his word in my mind. I must say this helped me a lot in my life. Furthermore, I find his way of speaking simply spellbinding. Yes, I would say, he is the one.

Wanting to change

Giovanni: Talking about getting things accomplished, to my opinion, everything lays in the “I want it” / “I don’t really want it” dilemma. For instance, I usually run through smokers who say they want to quit, but I can feel in their words they don’t really want to, and their actions talk like that as well. When I gave up on cigarettes, it was easy, because I really wanted to, I didn’t feel any more the need and replaced it with a strong want for better health. How do you relate about that? What’s your point about those people who say they want something and complain they can’t achieve it?

Nik: As I see it, there are different levels of wanting something. And the difference has to do with change. Quit smoking is good as an example. You know, people usually tell “it took me 5 years to stop smoking” or 7 years. I would say this is quite inappropriate and the right way to say it would be “it took me 5 years to DECIDE to stop smoking”.
The whole turning point is in the decision to change. Until you don’t make that decision, you’ll never achieve your goal. But once you do, it’s don in an instant.

A child’s story

Giovanni: Getting back to your story as a child (I’m amazed each time I think about it), living like in a prison for your illnesses, watching the other kids playing outside, what was the turning point, the thing that made you decide to change it all?

Nik: It’s hard for me to talk about that period of my life: I was under pharmaceutical drug treatment and I could not get out of my room. I watched the other kids playing outside, with skateboards and things like that and I just wanted to be like them. What shackled me and pushed me to make the change was the goals list I wrote. That gave me something to believe in, something worth trying to change my life.

The next challenge

Giovanni: One last question for you. Going from the past to the future. Aside from the two last goals in your list, what is you next big challenge?

Nik: Walking on the moon is always in the backside of my mind, but, as an earthling, my goal right now is to inspire 1 million people to become thrillionaires, through the thrillionaire community.

I’m talking about comments on other blogs.

They don’t take time to write, because you just read the post and write what you think about it. You just make your point in a conversational way and you don’t need to write a full article.

You can write in conversational tone because the same purpose of comments is to join a conversation.

And, in the long term, you can make alliances and partnerships with bloggers and other commenters as well.

The only little problem of blog comments is that sometimes they are not followed by the search engines…..
