SEO Changes And Link Freshness
Hey! Good to see you again! Thanks for coming back! Would you please take 5 minutes to fill in a survey to let me know you better? Thanks
“In order to prevent things from becoming stale, we tend to use the current link graph, rather than a link graph of all of time” Matt Cutts
Apparently, if Google loved you, it doesn’t mean it will love you forever…
This statement was made by Cutts answering to a question about link juice of older links. It looks like Google looks at newer links with a different eye than the older ones.
This is a good reason to keep your links “fresh”.
Another important aspect of this subject is that a high link velocity (meaning the rate at which your website acquires links) is not considered so bad as it was some years ago.
Nowadays, with all the video and bookmarking websites and the spreading of the social media phenomenon is quite usual for a good website to get an enormous amount of links in a matter on nothing.
And Google seems to understand this, so that the old fashioned penalization for fast excessive backlinking has lost his main significance.
Anyway, there are ways to keep your old links fresh without desperately searching for new ones.
- Rewrite old content in a new way and link back to the original article.
- Search for stories you wrote in the past, write a followup and link to them.
- Promote the sharing of old content by adding share buttons on old pages.
- Share it yourself on social media.
- Check the templates on your website, make sure the main template is used on old pages as on the new ones.
What you need to do next
- Check your website, search through it with a different look, scan for points that could be developed in a different way, from a different point of view.
- If you have a blog, check your most commented post, resume the comments and write a post about them.
- Share this post (I need backlinks too)
- If you can think of other tactics, leave a comment.
How To Create A Squeeze Page With Free Tools
To collect subscribers and build a list you don’t necessarily need to spend money to pay for hosting, domain, email tools.
Is what any internet marketing course has always taught you wrong?
Of course not, but I’m gonna show you a valid alternative to the paid services.
A website: domain and hosting all in one.
On this website, you can create a free account (all you need is an email address) and use it as your squeeze page and blog at the same time.
http://www.weebly.com
In fact, the website you’ll create will have a front page, which you can use as you front squeeze page) and a second page with a blog.

Make Money Over Content And Against Niche Marketing
Which is the first commandment for THE internet marketer?
“Find your niche.”
Is it? Really?
Action plans
As far as I see, it can be, but it is not necessarily the number one commandment.
Let’s define two completely different action plans:
1) Narrow focus action
You have defined your narrow niche, for instance, you teach how to get rid of a particular kind of allergy to young men between 18 and 28 years of age. Pretty narrow, isn’t it.
In this case, you know your market, you have your product, you know where and how to find customers and you’re ready to start. Chances are you’ll get fats results.
2) Broad focus action
You sell all kinds of allergy remedies, for men and women, all ages. Finding your market means shooting everywhere: you’ll need more firepower, but you have more chances to “hit” someone. Anyway, chances are you’ll need time to get good results.
The main difference I can see between these two strategies is the advertising cost associated to each one of them. As for the narrow focused one, thanks to the focused targeting, the advertising cost will be low if compared to the conversion you can expect.
In the other case, the conversion will be lower, at first, but the market spread can become way larger in the end, long term.
Meaning:
a) If you don’t have time or patience, you better go for the first one.
b) If you have both, or if you don’t have “your niche” you can go for the broad one, committing yourself to better chances of long term success and market shares.
Market development
There is another interesting aspect in this second option: once your market begins to develop, you’ll have a ton of testing work to do over your customers feedback, and a large part of your work will be identifying the sectors which are working better and push over them, by focusing over them your marketing efforts. This way you’ll be able to:
Improve your results over time.
Choose the sectors/products/niches to invest on.
Choose the ones to set aside.
Implementation strategies
How can you set up the broad strategy plan?
1) By building a separate website for each one of your niche.
2) By building a main website over a subject and divide it into multiple sections, each one for any pf the niches included in the main subject (think about the “broad allergies” example: the main subject would be allergies and there could be various sections for each kind of allergie/remedie).
3) By building a multi-subject website (for instance pets, cars, furniture, all mixed in the same bucket).
The third case is less unusual than what it may seem. In fact, there are many shopping sites selling everything and anything else. But think about a review website…
Crazy? Well somebody did it: RateItAll.com
They review anything. This is an interesting way to go, but let me warn you: before starting something like this, think about the quantity of work it will demand. Don’t forget that anyway, if the quality of the content you put out is not good, the results won’t be good neither.
Do you have all the skills and knowledge to get it done all by yourself? Probably not.
Do you have the budget to acquire them and keep them over time, knowing that the return on investment may be spread over a long period of time?
Embarking in an adventure if you don’t have the fuel to get to the end will take you half way, meaning nowhere, meaning you’ll have wasted your time and energy.
Make your plans.
Your full set of tutorials and more – New membership site
If you’re like the largest part of then readers of this blog, probably you’re starting to move your first steps online, trying to understand what to do and how to do it, where to find the right resources.
Given the questions I keep getting asked, I understand I unwillingly structured the blog as a collectin of tips and advices most of the times away from the beginner’s level, so that if you’re new to this it gets even more difficult to catch.
Shame on me, but this is the way it is. Fortunately, fo you, there’s someone else who is thinking in a different and more structured way.
Maybe you remember Magreth Mc Gill, I interviewed her about her article directory some time ago and you can find the interview recording in the podcast category.
She just opened the doors of a new membership site under her marketing tool store, MTS Members. It has a free access as a paid one, but I’m telling you about it because the free section is largere than usual.
Whatch this video for a sneak peak.
Did you see this?
Most of this learning programs are selling regularly for 37 to 97 bucks each.
As for the ebooks, the value of each one goes from 10 to at least 37 bucks each.
At first sight, I would say that with a free membership you get about 1500 bucks value in tools and videos.
Not bad, uh?
Just one more thing: the subscription page states that the free membership is available for now, but not forever.
What you need to do is go to MTS Members right now and claim your place before it ends.

New Retweet Feature on Twitter
Some time ago I started to see this new panel at the top of the page each time I logged on, saying I’ve been included in a beta tester group for the new RT feature.
The whole thing has become quite controversial, with a lot of people crucifying Twitter for this “unwanted” add.
Unwanted by who? As far as I’m concerned, anything that can help or make faster and easier RTs is VERY welcome.
As you may know, I already wrote on this blog about RTs, talking about their importance in the life of any Twitter account.
- They help building relationships, by connecting you with other tweeters in a friendly way.
- They help spreading a message, by republishing it more often on the timeline.
- They help acquiring new followers.
Actually, I fear this last one has been neglected by Twitter itself. In fact, the new feature will apply only to your range of friends and followers, since on your timeline you can see only their tweets.
That’s why I think this new feature is an interesting sign that Twitter is evolving as it should, which means probably it will be there for a long time to go, which makes me happy.
And that’s why I think Tweetdeck, which already has an integrated RT button, won’t loose its users, because of the simplicity to manage at the same time your timeline and a search function on search.twitter.
This last one allow me to see in real time anything being tweeted on a given keyword, so that I can even retweet it right after and gain new contacts after the tweet-nest.
I don’t think Twitter will ever integrate this function, anyway, since it’s way beyond its main scope. What would be the purpose of building your own friendship circle and seeing it invaded by strangers all the time?
As far as I’m concerned, everybody is welcome in my circle (I can’t believe it! I didn’t even ask you to follow me!!!), but we’re not always the same, and Twitter leaves the choice to us.
Which side you’re on?

Free Autoresponder With Full Pro Features
Free Autoresponder Or Paid Autoresponder? What about both?
Usually the limitations of a free autoresponder account are so strict you eventually end up for a paid service. What if I could show you a way to get a paid, professional autoresponder service for free?
Click here to claim your free autoresponder account.
Actually, while I was starting to build this blog and all my other websites, I had the chance to stumble upon a special offer giving away a full featured autoresponder account in exchange of a subscriptpion to a list building – affiliate system.
The deal worked like this:
- I subscribe for a limited free autoresponder account.
- I subscribe as well for an affiliate account on a partner website.
- I follow the steps which this website guides me through.
- My free account gets updated to a full featured pro account with no limitations and no monthly payments.
That’s what I did and it worked fine. This way, I had the opportunity to build my list in a professional way, without having to come to terms with third party (or competitors) ads in my messages, campaigns limitations and son on, and without paying for it.
Here’s your free autoresponder
What I can offer you now is the same exact deal.
By subscribing to the link here above you get:
- An autoresponder account.
- The instructions to use it and make it work (video tutorials).
- The instructions to subscribe to the partner affiliate website.
- The complete instructions and follow up series to set up you own website (no hosting and domain needed) to gather subscribers in your downline.
- As long as you follow these instructions, you’ll never be asked to pay anything for it.
I know you can be skeptical about this, but I can tell you it works because I personally went through it and tested it.
If you’re just starting your online business as I did in early 2009, this is a great opportunity for you, as it has been for me.
Here’s My Gift For You
Anyway, in order to make it more interesting for you, if you get it from my free autoresponder page, you get as a bonus free access to these 7 books with private label rights and reseller website I’m currently selling for $69. Check them out.
